Sober Parenting Journey is now offered as a group for parents in Somerville and a training for facilitators in New York City and Somerville.
What is Sober Parenting Journey?
Sober Parenting Journey is a 14-session group specifically for parents in recovery. The program is designed to empower parents and caregivers who have a history of addiction and who want to spur confidence and optimism in a successful recovery, improve parenting skills, and set goals for the future.
Sober Parenting Journey will help parents build self-esteem, communicate better with their children, manage stress, and address the impact of triggers that lead to relapse.
Features of Sober Parenting Journey:
Explore past and present patterns of compulsive and addictive behaviors that influence choices.
Seize the opportunity to create a new path that involves personal recovery, accountability, positive actions, and hard work.
Begin to understand and experience healing old and new wounds.
Register online at www.parentingjourney.org or call (617) 628-8815.

Train to be a Sober Parenting Journey Facilitator:
Parenting Journey is launching a Sober Parenting Journey training program in June, 2017. The week-long training will be offered in New York City and at our headquarters in Somerville. Join us to learn first-hand how to use this experiential curriculum to run Sober Parenting Journey groups within your organization.
