Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley has been a tireless champion for families throughout her career in public service. As the co-chairs of the 2nd annual Breakfast of Family Champions, we’re excited to invite you to join us in honoring her at this special occasion.
Rep. Pressley was the first woman of color elected to the Boston City Council and in her first year in office formed the Committee on Healthy Women, Families, and Communities, which addresses issues such as domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.
In her final term on the Council, Ayanna Pressley secured the passage of a resolution endorsing the Parents Bill of Rights developed by Parenting Journey’s Parent Advisory Council. I hope that you can join us in thanking her for fighting for families.
Thanks to Congresswoman Pressley’s leadership, the Boston Public Schools have updated their expectant and parenting student policy and developed a comprehensive sexual education and health curriculum. This is the type of leadership all families deserve from their elected officials.
Thank you for all you do to support Parenting Journey.
