The following announcement was sent to registrants of our upcoming Parenting Journey I training in New York scheduled to start on March 30 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak:
Dear Friend,
I’m writing to inform you about the steps that Parenting Journey is taking to ensure the health and safety of our staff and guests.
As you likely are aware, the rapid spread around the globe of COVID-19, the 2019 novel coronavirus, has prompted federal and state agencies to encourage social distancing to slow the spread of this disease. This is an uncertain and evolving situation and the steps that each of us take can help reduce the risk of infection.
We appreciate your commitment to providing high-quality services to parents and families in our community and your interest in attending our upcoming Parenting Journey training.
Out of an abundance of caution, Parenting Journey is cancelling our upcoming Parenting Journey I training, which was scheduled to start on March 30. We are committed to rescheduling every registrant in this training to another upcoming training, and we will add additional trainings if needed.
Upcoming Parenting Journey I Trainings:
- April 27 – May 1, 2020
- May 11 – May 15, 2020
- June 1 – June 5, 2020
We will be proactively contacting attendees, but please feel free to email me at kwilson@parentingjourney.org to specify your preferred training date.
In addition to canceling our upcoming training, we are encouraging our staff to work remotely through the end of March but will continue to be available by phone and email.
We will continue to provide you with updates as this situation develops.
Thanks,
Katie (Hamilton) Wilson
