Parenting Journey expands program replication in Washington, D.C.
Partnership with community providers including Jubilee Jumpstart, Martha’s Table, and Hope and a Home bring strength-based parenting program to our Nation’s capital.
WASHINGTON, DC – In an effort to support the many Washington, DC area parents struggling to raise their children under highly stressful conditions, Parenting Journey is now training D.C. agencies in its transformational parent development programs proven through years of evaluation to help build stronger families.
“We are very excited to return to D.C. to once again. Through our partnership with community providers like Jubilee Jumpstart, Martha’s Table, and Hope and a Home, we are reaching D.C.’s neediest families and most vulnerable populations,” says Carolina Grynbal, Parenting Journey’s Senior Director of Training. “The Parenting Journey program is not a ‘how to’ class. It is an innovative program that provides opportunity for mothers, fathers, and caregivers to develop themselves as nurtured and nurturing people, laying the groundwork for a strong family foundation on which to build. It is part of a two-generational approach to building adult capabilities to improve child outcomes.” Expansion into Washington, DC is part of Parenting Journey’s strategic focus on program expansion and national replication. By partnering with local agencies that are already ingrained in the community, Parenting Journey is able to spread the impact of its evidence-informed curriculum to reach more families in need of support.
