Associate Director of Program Development | Senior Faculty
Gabby Witte has been with Parenting Journey since 2019, and currently works as the Associate Director of Program Development at Parenting Journey. From day to day Gabby develops and manages the updates to our Parenting Journey offerings, as well as is in charge of launching new programs. Gabby is a licensed clinical social worker with a Doctorate of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. She completed a postgraduate two-year Trauma Studies Program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City and received her Master’s in social work from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. She chose social work over other helping professions because of the field’s history and commitment of advocating for human rights and social justice. Previously, Gabby worked for many years as a trauma therapist for survivors of intimate partner and interpersonal violence.Â

From the Parenting Journey Curricula’s Name Game: Where did your name come from?
My name is Gabrielle Erika Witte and my first and middle name are after my mom’s two favorite soap opera characters – Gabrielle Medina on One Life to Live and Erica Kane on All my Children. My last name is my mom’s maiden last name which I think of as a feminist statement.Â
My super power is: thoughtful gift giving.
