Jessica comes to Parenting Journey from a background in the financial services and life & healthcare industries. Pivoting around from the beginning of her career as a life policy representative into training and development. Moving to technical writing and product management. Most recently she held her life and health broker licenses, focusing her work with small businesses and those transitioning to Medicare.

Her formal education is in elementary education with a degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN with a focus on special education. Ironic fact about Jessica – she never went on to teach in a classroom of young minds. However the unique thread that ties Jessica’s professional journey together is the drive to teach, train and learn with others through communication, collaboration and engagement.

Jessica is the mother of 2 girls. Spending the majority of her life in Minnesota, she has recently relocated to the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Jessica can often be found cheering her daughters on at figure skating competitions or discovering new restaurants.

From the Parenting Journey 1 Curriculum: Which ritual question do you like engaging with the majority of the time?
Describe one positive interaction you had with someone this week.

Why did you choose that one?
I am really fond of positive engagements with people, especially when it is least expected. Small gestures can really make big impacts. Life can often feel heavy, but a smile or a kindness really goes a long way to lighten my day!
