Last week, Parenting Journey Executive Director Imari Paris Jeffries — who is a UMass student and trustee — hosted an event for black doctoral students in Boston. Imari and Chancellor Johnson hosted this event, with Bithiah Carter and President Meehan, among others, to build community among black students to ensure they feel connected to our city and ultimately build diverse leadership in businesses, non-profits, and higher education.
