As you likely are aware, the rapid spread around the globe of COVID-19, the 2019 novel coronavirus, has prompted federal and state agencies to encourage social distancing to slow the spread of this disease. This is an uncertain and evolving situation and the steps that each of us take can help reduce the risk of infection.
I’m writing to inform you about the steps that Parenting Journey is taking to ensure the health and safety of the parents we partner with, the children in our care, our partners, our staff, and our community:
- Parenting Journey’s upcoming groups in Somerville are being postponed until at least April 7. Our team is working on a plan to ensure parents can complete the program by the originally scheduled graduation date and is proactively reaching out to all attendees.
- Our upcoming Parenting Journey I training in New York scheduled to start on March 30 is being canceled. Our team is reaching out to all registrants to reschedule them to a future training. We will add additional trainings if needed.
- Parenting Journey staff is encouraged to work from home, effective immediately and lasting through the end of March. We are still available by phone and email.
We will continue to monitor the situation and updated government guidance, and will make and communicate additional changes as necessary.
